I have a bunch of stuff on my LJ for sale, including a FULL SET of Onegai My melody figures, which includes a violin playing Hiiragi (if only it spoke...) and an El Hazard production book (Okki was Jinnai). Also a TON of other series, some really rare items, etc. Come look, spread the word! Christmas is coming!

sorry if you see this in a few places, x-posed like crazy :/ Mods, if not allowed, feel free to delete

Hey guys ^^ I wrote a small piece about Okiayu-san over on my relatively new anime blog/forum community, Otakuholic! Just thought if anyone wanted to check it out, just to enjoy some little Okiayu-ness... I mean, I'm sure it's all nothing that will be new to anyone here, but I thought it might be nice.

As an aside, is anyone else who might be following him on Twitter that reads/understands Japanese better than I, know if he is like... ok? He's seemed to have been Tweeting about being at the hospital alot lately. :|

Anyways... hope my article is an enjoyable read for anyone~! ^^

Request from Okiayu-san [May. 20th, 2011|10:30 am]

Okiayu is currently voicing a puppet in a cute (if slightly odd) anime/Real Person mini-comedy called Chara-Mono (キャラ者) and he's asking for folks to please vote for the show so it'll keep airing.

You can go here -- http://cgi2.nhk.or.jp/aoyama-k/index.cgi -- to view and vote for the show.

Chara-Mono is the one on the left, with the purple puppet and the young woman. You can click on the image to pull up the videos (they're a little over 5 minutes long)

To vote, click on the trophy icon in the middle of the page and fill out the form. The option for the show is on the left, and then they'll want to know if you're a man or woman, your age bracket and a name/nickname. There's a comment box, but it's not required for voting.

He'll be thrilled if lots of folks vote, so please do so if you can!

(oh, today's random Okiayu trivia tidbit -- he did some dubbing for Buffy the Vampire Slayer way back in the day; he voiced a guy Buffy goes out with in season 1, ep 5.)

A quick note about Okiayu's appearance at Yaoi-Con [Sep. 20th, 2010|12:31 am]

By request of our seiyuu guests, we will be pre-screening attendee questions for their panel. Questions that you submit to us in advance will get priority at the panel (in other words, they'll get asked first). Time permitting, we *might* be able to take questions from the audience at the panel, but if you want to ensure that your question gets heard by the guests, submit it to pr@yaoicon.com before the con!

We have also been asked to limit the number of autographs our guests sign at the con, so *all* Guest of Honor autograph session will be ticketed this year. Tickets will be distributed at each guest focus panel, one ticket per person, and allow the holder to get one (1) item signed.

In case you haven't heard on the seiyuu comm, or in one of our official announcements, Yaoi-Con is bringing Okiayu-san to our 10th Anniversary event this October.

Needless to say, we're very excited and hoping plenty of people will come out to welcome him.

We'll be taking questions for both Okiayu-san and Kiuchi-san before the con; you can email questions to me at pr@yaoicon.com.

And, if you are planning on coming, we ask that you read our Code of Conduct and Guest Event Guidelines.

Okiayu at Comiket [Aug. 14th, 2009|04:52 pm]

A friend and I made it to the Miracle Train booth this morning and dropped our hard earned yen on the Miracle Train dvd/cd set and claimed our passes for his mini-event this afternoon.

It was absolutely wonderful getting to see him close up and personal, finally, but alas they were running us through to accept a card from him pretty quickly. I had hoped to get to actually say a few words and pass on a gift, but other than a couple of people in front of us, most folks weren't lingering to talk -- so I just thanked him and smiled. He looked great, his voice was soft and sweet ... and I'm hoping at next weekend's Gundam event, I'll have slightly more time to actually say a few words. But first, it's off to Osaka for the NeoRoma shows he's in (well, really, hoping he'll be at Canna's live tonight, but I'm not holding my breath).

Sorry this is kinda short and uneffusive -- lack of sleep and heat made me want to do not much more than flee Comiket after we made it through the line. :( (still, I am glad I got up in the wee hours and made it there!).

...what Okiayu might look like holding a gun, wonder no more!

(I'm not entirely sure why he and Kamiya are posing with guns -- just that it has something to do with their upcoming Miracle Train anime.)

Posted this over on the seiyuu comm, but thought I'd mention it here too. On April 26th, Okiayu and Fujiwara Keiji will be at an event in Taiwan, should anyone be able to get there. Details and the link to the event page can be found on Okiayu's blog: http://blog.okiayu.jp/?eid=979173
